PERSONALITY:

Meg is an extremely independent girl. She doesn’t have issues speaking her mind or standing up to others. She has weak ankles, something that she works around when fencing and what pushed her towards horses and the Equestrian life. And though she is independent, she tends to lose some of her ground with boyfriends, which is why she tries to avoid them. She isn’t one to wear make-up or tons of jewelry, thinking that they demoralize women by making them look fake or sleazy; it’s an odd issue. She’s certainly no damsel in distress. Being an only child has left her a high achiever, an adult pleaser, and bossy. She has a weakness for guys with muscles and a fear of heights.

BIOGRAPHY:

Megan grew up in Boston, Massachusetts with her mother Isabella, who was a grade school teacher, and her father Cory, who was a Captain in the Navy and Coast Guard. While her father’s work took him away from home from month to month, they maintained a relationship through e-mails and phone calls. She blames her issues with men by placing it as an abandonment issue from her father, but Megan is not one to speak of it openly. Her mother always spoke of giving Megan a sibling, but Cory’s job was enough strain, and the time never seemed right to add another mouth to feed.

Because Isabella taught philosophy and literature courses, Meg grew up idolizing Socrates, Plato, Diogenes of Sinope, and other Greek philosophers. She developed a passion for Cynicism, rational thinking, and Babylonian astronomy. The moment she could begin to take courses aimed toward her new obsession, she did, taking them all and sometimes more than once if it was offered by another professor. She received top grades through her entire schooling life, making the Honor Roll, the Dean’s List, and making Valedictorian.

Meg was extremely popular in school, paving the way for insecure girls through her independent streak and not letting anyone bully her around. The boys fell in love with her volume-full hair and intense blue eyes. Because she was an adult pleasure, she easily became the teacher’s pet, bringing in apples or helping pass out papers. Some suspected it was only her good looks and gracious nature that got her the good grades, but she knew it was her mother’s intellect passed down. In her senior year of high school, a rumor circled the halls that Meg was having a student-teacher affair with her History of Ancient Philosophy professor, but it was never confirmed.

Meg’s father was absent for her graduation from college and she has held a grudge ever since. She received letters from Harvard and Yale, but decided to go to Brandeis University for her first two years of college. It was during her freshman year that Joshua Hadelstein saved her life. Like most little girls, Megan loved horses and was thrilled to learn there was a sport beyond racing. She quickly signed up for the Equestrian Club. While riding Poseidon’s Dream, the horse spooked before a double-barred jump and sent her flying. By miracle alone, Josh was there to catch Megan, and had he not, she would likely have fallen in a position that would end her riding days. After tending to her well being, Josh retrieved her horse and offered to stay for the remainder of her practice. While in most cases she would have cried being able to take care of herself, thankyouverymuch, and sent him off, she now owed him her life and was extremely grateful. Thus, she thanked him for the thousandth time and said he could stay. The traumatic experience came out with friendship in the end, until Meg transferred to Walt Disney University, which she felt had a better Philosophy program. Plus, it was still near an ocean. And while they thought this was goodbye, Joshua ended up enrolling at WDU to finish out his Graduate years, which was her final push to stay for Graduate schooling as well, because she valued her friendship with Joshua and still felt indebted to him.

Since being at WDU, Meg has developed a crush on Dr. Phillip Moore, going out of her way to pass his class and/or office for the past three years she’s been in California. The whole ordeal has taken her by surprise, because she is hardly the kind of girl to go through such measures. But he charmed her and she decided to finally sign up for one of his courses, taking his Environmental Applications and Analysis class.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Megara can read Greek and list off a good number of Gods and Goddesses off the top of her head. Her dream is to travel to Greece and Rome to see the statues and history it has to offer. She has named her horse Poe’s Ransom, whom is a black Westfalen.
